Beauty Buys - September 15

It’s time for another quick round up of the products I’ve recently bought and how I’m getting on with them. Aside from the foundation, these were another set of super affordable items, the two No.7 products were on sale and the eyebrow set was less than £5 – you can’t get better than that! The foundation was my splurge this time around, but sometimes it’s worth it for the right look and feel of something you’ll be wearing regularly.

Collection Brunette Eye Brow Kit

I love this little kit. I only tend to stick with the lightest shade, but it’s perfect for my colouring and I adore the little brush that it comes with. I haven’t tried the clear brow mascara, as I tend to just use an existing brush I have to shape the hairs into place, but I might give that a go to see if I like the way to smoothes everything out. For the price, this is great and a perfect purchase, for sure.

No.7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder in Medium

This is the perfect shade for me and mattifies and finishes off my make-up perfectly. I use a large powder brush with this, so it takes just a couple of swipes to cover my entire face, and I know it’ll keep everything in place all day. I much prefer pressed powders to loose, and this is the best I’ve used in a long time.

No. 7 Powder Blusher in Apricot Blossom

I adore this blusher, which is surprising considering I’ve been using cream blushers for a couple of years. This is the ideal colour, on the coral side, and is buildable to get just the right amount of pop you need, depending on the occasion. Combine this with some bronzer and you have the perfect look for day or night and I feel like this is the product to bring me back to powder blushes again.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup in Fresh Ivory

Foundation has always been a tough one for me. I’ve tried so many over the years and have only really fallen in love with a couple. This is one of those. I’ve been a big fan of clinique foundations for a while, having been a user of their Even Better range, but this Anti-Blemish one was a first for me. It has just the right amount of coverage without looking heavy and stays put all day. It feels like I’m taking off the full amount that I put on in the morning when cleansing in the evenings, and that says a lot for staying power. I don’t have the worst skin, so I’m not necessarily using it for getting rid of blemishes, but it definitely feels like it’s doing good for my skin anyway. Big thumbs up from me.
