Recipe: Milk-Based Cocktails

07.05.12

When it comes to cocktails, I always thought I liked the fruity variety, with a simple liqueur like vodka, and then perhaps a fruit juice or something similar. As you can tell, I’m not very experienced in the likes of fancy cocktail drinking, only tending to opt for them when axing of an evening on vacation or if I’m out with my boy and he’ll buy me a couple of cosmopolitans. So, when I was in Greece this year, I wanted to try something a bit different, stray from the usual fruity choice and see what else could be experienced. One with chocolate milk caught my attention one evening, and it was a delight to the taste buds, so on another couple of occasions, I went for a milk based cocktails, varying from ones with chocolate to ones with coffee and plenty of alcohol in between. So, I went around looking for milk-based alcoholic drinks, as it would definitely be something I would try at a dinner party, when something a little different from wine is called for after dinner. Here are the ones that particular caught my eye, so I will hopefully be trying these out once we’re all moved in and hosting some soirees. But, please remember, always drink responsibly.

Please note: for all of these recipes 1 measure = 2.5cl or 25ml.
