Christmas DIYs should be simple in my book – I don’t want to be fussing around with a ton of complicated instructions or having to go out and buy lots of supplies to be able to make something pretty – so a little DIY like this one is just up my street. This will literally take you as long as you want the garland to be, anything from 10 minutes to an hour, and costs next to nothing, with so few supplies it’s almost funny. And let’s just talk about how pretty it’ll make your home look, either hung around a door, or around your festive tree, this is the epitome of Christmas, and is a joy to sit and make, especially if you have Christmas music playing and some hot chocolate by your side.
Popcorn – I used a 110g and used all of it
Cranberries – I had a 300g tub and had some left
Needle and thread – a few metres
All you simply need to do is thread the popcorn and cranberries onto your sewing cotton until the desired length is reached. Instead of one giant garland (which gets tangled easily), I did a bunch of shorter garlands, a metre and a half each or so, and placed them around the tree individually.
