In December, my boy and I celebrated four years together – and one of the wonderful gifts he gave me was a ticket to see Bon Jovi in concert. And yesterday was the day the concert finally arrived, and so we headed into town, deciding to get a bite to eat before we went to the show. We came across a little spot we’d never been before, Bill’s, and thought we’d give it a try after being tempted in by the menu. We loved the decor and the menu was varied and a little different from the other restaurants in the area.
Looking around, there were a ton of cute features to see, from vintage candlesticks, and mismatched furniture, to old food packaging and chalkboard signs. And the food was just delicious. It will definitely be somewhere we’ll head to again, and with a gorgeous looking breakfast and lunch menu, we’ll likely try at a few different times of the day.
And the Bon Jovi show was great, they really are still at their best. I wouldn’t hesitate to go to another of their shows, and it was something fun to do on a Wednesday evening. It’s always a nice change to plan something in the middle of a long working week, when the most you usually do is cook dinner and watch TV, so it really was the perfect evening. I hope we get to do it again soon, and I really do recommend not only going out on weekdays, but making the effort to make plans mid-week.
