I got to take a couple of days off last week, and it made for a wonderfully long weekend. There was a mixture of taking time out to enjoy some time by myself at home, and getting to also spend some great quality time with the family. I finished my getting my sister’s birthday gifts sorted for her birthday coming up this week, which suited my organised nature down to the ground. And I also enjoyed some baking time in the kitchen, which I always love to do if I get some time to myself. Now I’m looking forward to next month when I get a week off just before Easter, and I already have some big plans for that time!
From top: The daffodils on my kitchen window ledge have started blooming and they look beautiful when the morning sunshine streams in; a gorgeous spicy chicken and cous cous salad I whipped up for lunch; I got to spend some precious time with my gorgeous nephew; some light reading for Sunday in the form of Elle magazine; I finished off the weekend with getting into a new book and enjoying my favourite Essie colour.
