St. Patrick’s Day, like any other holiday which celebrates a country or part of a country, is great fun! There’s usually specific colours to use as a theme, or wear for that matter, and there’s usually a ton of food and drink to be enjoyed. The day to celebrate the Irish, March 17th, is no different and is often associated with the colour green, shamrocks and a little bit of guiness. Now, I am not Irish, so whether everyone embraces these traditions, I don’t know, but any coverage I’ve ever seen shows people having a fabulous time! And so, if you do happen to be having a St. Patrick’s Day related gathering, then here are a few ideas for the food that you can serve. Not that you need an excuse to make any of it, it all looks delicious for any day of the year!

1. Guinness & Honey Glazed Pork Loin | 2. Parsnip, Potato & St Gall Cheese Gratin

3. Irish Stew | 4. Irish Soda Bread

5. Black Velvet Baby Cakes | 6. Irish Coffee

I’m not a big fan of corn beef so I think I’ll stick to the Irish Coffees and Baileys on Sunday! =)
I actually made some St. Patty’s day cupcakes on my blog today that would go nicely with that coffee! =)
